Lyons Magnus Launches New Line Of Sauces To Benefit Prostart – The Nation’s Leading High School Culinary And Restaurant Management Training Program

Global Food Supplier Introduces Two New Chocolate Sauces Selected by ProStart Students 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 6, 2017 – Lyons Magnus, a leading food supplier and supporter of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF), announced today that the company will donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of its Sweet Indulgence Sauce line which now includes two new chocolate sauces, to the NRAEF’s ProStart program. 

The two new sauces were selected earlier this year by a group of ProStart students who visited the Lyons Magnus testing facility at their offices in Fresno, California. The two new Sweet Indulgence Sauces that go on sale this week include Chocolate Mint Sweet Indulgence Sauce and Sea Salt Chocolate Sweet Indulgence Sauce.
 
      
 
Kent Walrack, President and Chief Operating Officer, Lyons Magnus, invited a group of eight ProStart students from Bonita High School, La Verne, California and Bryte CTE, West Sacramento, California to spend the day with Lyons Magnus’s product development team to taste test and try new recipes using a variety of Lyons ingredients.  Following a careful selection process, the students picked two of the new sauces that will officially bear the ProStart label.  Lyons Magnus will make these sauces available to all restaurant operators nationally and expects to make a significant impact in contributing additional funds to the ProStart program.
